Body Armor Roof Rack Base features easy bolt on installation by attaching to the windshield hinges and at the frame at the rear. It is made from 2 inch 0.120 wall tube for strength and style. This roof rack base is complete with front light bar that holds 4 lights and a rear light bar that holds 2 lights.

The Body Armor Recon Cargo basket PN 5124 attaches easily to the base rack. The Jeep Wrangler 4 door soft top and hard top can be removed with the base rack installed. Whereas on the JK four door hard top, the T top can be removed even with the Recon Cargo basket installed.

It took quite a bit of fine tuning - but totally worth it. This review is being left after 30 days of ownership and two heavy duty off road excursions. Extremely hairy terrain. I read the reviews - very closely.. and they lead me to believe that this build would leave me needing hardware and also having a noisy outcome. So I went into it expecting to have to work very hard to overcome these obstacles. My goal was to achieve this base unit + rack without any noise. I achieved my goal 90%.

And I give this product a 100% 5 star reviews simply because the noise I have left over is unavoidable due to having parts attached to the carriage, and exposed. You have to understand that you are adding girth to the jeep and that it catches wind - fiercely. Good news is that if the windows are down that it isn't much different. And with the doors off it is exactly the same as without the rack. The product is well built - really well built.

It is so substantial that It gets mistaken for a roll bar all of the time. Obviously the Jeep Wrangler hard top has a roll bar - duh? and it's a dumb moment when the person asking realizes it already had a roll bar, but presence of the cage on this rack looks so substantial that it appears to be protective. Installation is easy and everything lined up nicely on my 2014 JKU with smittybuilt xrc bumper. The provided hardware was adequate and worked well with the installation.

The fine tuning is in carrying around the installation tools and tightening up for a few days after the install. Every time I heard a rattle I pulled over and tightened everything with all of my might. I even warped the metal in several places. It conformed nicely without any problems. After three days of nit picking it I haven't had to do a thing and I have Loved having it on the Jeep Wrangler hard top.
